Johan Åkerblom Announces Decision to Step Down as CEO of Citadele Banka

Johan Åkerblom,  CEO and Head of the Management Board of Citadele Bank, has tendered his resignation to the Board of Directors due to personal reasons.
 
In a statement to the Board, Åkerblom expressed his gratitude for the six years he has spent at Citadele, during which the bank has achieved significant milestones. 
 
Åkerblom stated, "It has not been an easy decision, but driven by personal matters, I have decided to step down. I am confident that Citadele will continue to flourish under new leadership and seize the opportunities for growth ahead."
 
The Board, understanding and accepting Johan Åkerblom's decision, extends its appreciation for his contribution to the success of Citadele Bank.  
 
Aiga Volksone, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications stated, "We fully respect Johan's decision to step down. We are committed to finding a suitable successor promptly. Until then, Johan will continue to serve in his capacity as CEO."
 
The Citadele Bank will commence the search for a new CEO immediately, aiming to ensure a smooth transition and sustain the bank's upward trajectory.
