The Supervisory Board of AS “Citadele bank” has elected Uldis Upenieks and Slavomir Mizak in the Bank’s Management Board. The Bank has received the approval of the Financial and Capital Market Commission and both Board members have started their duties in August 1, 2017. Uldis Upenieks will be responsible for Compliance area and Slavomir Mizak will be responsible for Group’s IT and technology development.
Uldis Upenieks has 20 years experience in the financial sector, of which last 15 years he has worked in the banking sector. Since November 2012 Uldis is a Chairman of the Board at CBL Asset Management. Before joining the company in 2012, U.Upenieks worked in PrivatBank – as a Board member from May 2011 and as the head of internal audit for the PrivatBank Ukraine Group from November 2011.
Prior to that Uldis was responsible for client oversight function (2002-2009), and a vice president and the deputy director of the Risk and Compliance Sector (2009-2011) at “Citadele bank”.
Uldis Upenieks holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Riga Technical University and he has studied at Riga Graduate School of Law.
Before joining the Bank, Slavomir Mizak was a member of the Management Board and held a position of the Chief Information Officer and the Chief Operating Officer in Zuno Bank AG (Austria) since 2014. Prior to that, since 2010, he held positions of the Head of Information Technology and the Head of Information Technology Development in Zuno Bank. Before that he worked as a consultant and manager in the consulting division for financial services sector in Accenture (2002-2009).
Slavomir Mizak holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Economics in Bratislava.
Uldis Upenieks and Slavomir Mizak do not hold shares of AS “Citadele Bank”.
