Citadele to Continue to Enable Payment for Elektrum Services Online

Published on

After winning in Latvenergo’s tender, Citadele Bank will continue to provide card payments online, including for sites such as elektrum.lv, elektrumveikals.lv, as well as the electric car charging app within the Baltics. Latvenergo and Citadele have also collaborated successfully in the past.

Citadele will continue to provide online card transactions for AS “Latvenergo” until spring 2023. Under the previous contract, both companies collaborated to develop an online payment tool to provide card payments both through computers and in the mobile app.

“Our collaboration with such an important business as Latvenergo gives us the chance to implement projects which can improve the user experience for almost all Latvians using basic services. The collaboration between our companies has resulted in what we perceive to be a major contribution, because we all use electricity, so paying for this service should be as convenient and user-friendly as possible. Citadele experts have invested a large amount of work to understand customer needs and create a suitable solution, but our work doesn’t stop with what we have already created. We are continuing to work on improving user experience and ensuring that Elektrum clients can soon use Klix, our innovative payment solution, which will allow payment to be made with just a couple of clicks,” explains Vladislavs Mironovs, Citadele Board Member.
