The Citadele Bank has used its online banking system to send information to clients, which is needed to prepare their property status or “zero-based” declaration. The information speaks to savings, unpaid loans, and savings in private pension funds and life insurance policies with accumulation of savings as of midnight on December 31, 2011.
Citadele has also published explanatory materials in Latvian, Russian and English on cases in which the declaration has to be filed with the State Revenue Service (SRS), by which date it has to be submitted, those cases in which the declaration has to be filled out on someone else’s behalf, and so on. The declaration must be filed with the SRS by June 1, 2012 (inclusive). Information confirmed by the bank is not necessary in this case.
We would ask those clients who do not use the Citadele online banking system to sign up for it. It is free of charge, and you can sign up for the system at any Citadele branch or client service in Latvia.
Information that is needed to fill out the property declaration can also be obtained by ringing the Citadele Bank’s 24/7 information line on 6701-0000. Please get in touch with the Client Service Centre if you need additional information to fill in the declaration. Perhaps you need information about financial instruments and their purchase price. The Client Service Centre is open on a 24/7 basis. Online banking operators, in turn, are available on business days from 8:30 AM until 5:30 PM, and they will be happy to answer questions that are submitted electronically.
