The transfer from lats to euros

We wish to inform you about the most important aspects of banking services when Latvia implements the new currency, the euro.

Conversion of lats in accounts and payment cards to the euro:

• At the beginning of the 2014, all lats in bank accounts will automatically be converted to euros at the official rate of EUR 1=LVL 0.702804 and with no commission fee;
• You do not have to replace your payment cards in lats. After January 1, 2014 all payments with them will automatically be processed in euros.

Please make online banking payments in a timely way:

• Citadele online banking payments in lats will be possible until 1:00 PM on December 30 (incl. currency exchange);
• Because of the conversion of the lats online banking payments will begin on January 2;
• The fax payment system will be available until 1:00 PM on December 30.
