Parex Bank would like to thank you for the trust towards the Bank. We are sending you the following message on transfer of business activities from AS Parex banka Eesti filiaal to AS Citadele banka Eesti filiaal. The transfer will not create any inconveniences for the Customers and all signed agreements with AS Parex banka Eesti filiaal will remain in force with AS Citadele banka Eesti filiaal.
On 29th of June 2010 the Latvian Financial and Capital Market Commission issued a credit institution license to AS Citadele banka. On 30th of July 2010 AS Citadele banka was registered to the Latvian Commercial Register. Establishment of the New Bank is a part of the restructuring process of Parex banka. The New Bank was established by Latvian Privatization Agency (Republic of Latvia).
On 27th of July 2010 the Estonian Financial Authority issued a license to establish the a branch for Citadele banka in Estonia. On 28th of July AS Citadele banka Eesti filiaal was registered to the Estonian Commercial Register.
On 30th of July 2010 AS Parex banka Eesti filiaal and AS Citadele banka Eesti filiaal signed an agreement following the Law of Obligations Act § 180 by which the client base, assets, rights and liabilities of AS Parex banka Eesti filiaal were transferred to AS Citadele banka Eesti filiaal.
Starting from 1st of August 2010 all existing Client Accounts will be managed by AS Citadele banka Eesti filiaal. Current account agreements, loan agreements, deposit agreements and others will stay in force. The transfer from AS Parex banka Eesti filiaal to AS Citadele banka Eesti filiaal for clients will happen automatically.
The SWIFT code (PARXEE2X) of the Bank and international IBAN account numbers will not change; as a result your account numbers will remain. There are also no changes regarding the usage of payment cards and your PIN codes will remain the same.
Transition to “Citadele Pank” in all customer service centers and branches is planned to be gradual by the end of the year. Additionally there will be a change in the name of the New Banks daughter company Parex Leasing & Factoring OÜ, which will be changed to Citadele Leasing & Factoring OÜ. AS Parex banka Eesti filiaal and AS Citadele banka Eesti filiaal will try to make everything possible in order to avoid any problems during the transition process.
